Robert Vengoechea, Designer
A self taught designer and sculptor from Colombia, South America, of Indian-Spanish Basque ancestry, Robert mastered the art of sculpting using the "lost wax" method. A client can be confident when they wear an exceptional artwork of his that it will be noticed and inquiries about the singularity of the piece are sure to follow. He can readily produce a drawing from a detailed discussion with a client, and within the time frame of a lunch, they may return to his gallery and find a wax model ready for approval. This custom wax sculpture may include the stones they have chosen, so that the visual effect of the finished product can be viewed prior to casting and completing the creation. The reward for the artist is that the client is involved in the complete process - from the moment Mr. Vengoechea gives them a quick tutorial of the lost wax procedure to the instant they excitedly place the finished work of art jewelry upon their finger.
